You are probably already doing online marketing with social media, but I challenge you to NOT find this post useful.

I share useful resources connected to the two mayor social media networks in this article. Pure gold!

I go straight to the point, let me know in the comments below if you did not find something interesting or new for you.

Facebook

Not only you need to create a Facebook fan page for your blog or business, but you should also consider the trend of the moment : the Facebook groups.

There are a ton of groups that you could join. Some of them are created just for sharing your latest post, while in others you can learn a lot asking and answering to blogging , online marketing or SEO related topics.

Let’s go straight to the point. Here you find the list of the mayor Facebook groups that are popular right now.

I suggest you to join all these groups. Then up to you deciding whether it’s worth to be active or not.

The details and numbers listed below are updated to the date of the post ( May 20th 2013).

- Make Money with Blogging, Social Media and Internet Marketing (172 members) : it’s not just a sharing group. There are popular bloggers here, who are going to help you and will share their knowledge. You need to be active and bring your contribute. Don’t just join and spam your links here, or the admins will ban you!

- Blogger Ileane Smith Fan Club (3273 members) : I have learned so much from this group. There are many active and popular bloggers here and Ms. Ileane share her knowledge to all the members. Definetely a group to join if you want to learn something new each day and if you need to expand your friendships.

- WordPress for Business (1056 members) : a lot of popular bloggers and useful information here.

- BlogEngage (1447 members) : Facebook group of the popular BlogEngage social community site.

Secret Tip :

I have joined some “secret Facebook groups” that indeed gave me some power up to my online marketing efforts.

I won’t mention the secrets and the features of these groups and it’s up to you discover these gems around Facebook (just ask to some of your friends if they are part of some of these).

Twitter

Still the beast of the social media marketing, in my opinion. You MUST have an account there!

There are so many online tools connected to Twitter, that it’s impossible to mention all the most important ones!

But according to the topic of this article, I list below the ones I use when I want to share new posts.

JustRetweet

I guess you already know it, but if not, then you need to pay a visit to this website!

The rule is simple, you sign in with your social media account and while you share other members links, you earn credits, that you can use to share your own posts.

JustRetweet is connected to Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus.

You may set to which category you want to address your post and to which members, depending on their social media power (the numbers of their accounts).

Triberr

Triberr, I love it!

I know some bloggers who still do not understand the power of Triberr, but it’s a shame, because first of all there are many tutorials you can learn from.

Then you can simply search “Triberr” in Google to find out a big number of useful posts with great explanations of “How Triberr Really Works”, like this article :

How to Use #Triberr – Best #Social Network for #Bloggers?

In few words, after signing up, you need to join tribes (or create your own one), in order to share members new posts available on your stream and have the possibility they will want to share your new articles.

Respecting the goal of this post, I am going to list the most powerful tribes I know (and I am member of – details and numbers updated to May 20th 2013) :

- Power Sharers : standard tribe, 316 members, 102 followers – 5,647,586 reach (contact me here – I am the chief of this tribe);

- Atomic Justice Tribunal : automatic tribe, 205 followers – 5,409,186 reach (contact @Justice Mitchell, chief of the tribe);

- Social Media SEO : automatic tribe, 378 followers – 3,933,753 reach (contact @Berrie Pelser, who is the chief of this tribe).

Conclusion

Social Media, like internet, continually grows and changes.

There is a huge number of social networks and interesting resources it’s worth the mention, but it’s impossible in just one simple blog post!

I hope to have you helped in any way with this article and please let me have your thoughts in the comments below.

Thanks!

I have always loved browsing and reading articles about how to increase traffic to my websites.

I think it’s the kind of content that is evergreen and it is worth to be read, in any case. Because you never know if you can find some real, new methods or resources to receive fresh new traffic to your blog.

I made a summary, below, of 11 new and old effective tips to get visits to your websites. There are some of the ways I use to get traffic to my blogs.

1. Create Quality Content for Your Audience

It ‘s always the same advice you read in this kind of articles : “Create Quality Content!”.

But try to dig a bit more.

Do you know your audience well? Do you talk with your readers?

If you achieve to understand correctly what your audience want, then you are right on your way to reach success.

This is also connected to become an authoritative blogger in your market. What does it mean? For me, it means that every time you write a great post, it becomes viral. Everything you say is true and your content is of value. Hence, people listen to what you say, and keep following you since the first time they know of your existence.

Do you have some favorite bloggers? What are these names? I ask you now to keep in mind for the comments.

2. Frequently Update the Content of Your Blog

Frequently update the content on your website encourages visitors to return. In addition, allows you to improve your ranking on search engines. Google likes fresh and new content.

Not only it improves the positioning, but also enhance the visibility of your blog.

How many posts do you write per week? 1,3, 5 or even everyday? Whatever is your answer, stick with your scheduling time.

3. Use the Right Keywords in Your Niche

What are the most typed keywords in your niche? Do you know if they have high or low competition?

Which SEO tool do you use to understand that? Chris wrote a very useful article about :

Market Samurai – Review of Great Tool for Online Marketers and SEO Specialists

4. Use the SEO Techniques

The SEO techniques improve your rankings in the search engines. Therefore, they increase traffic to your website.

For example, this post, which talks about how to increase traffic on a site, is designed to rank well for the keywords: “increase traffic” (and may be some more?).

I wrote an article about the SEO basic rules, you might want to read it.

5. Increase Your Link Popularity

If you create quality content with a great location on the search engines, your site’s popularity will grow. What does this mean? Many of your visitors will link your content on their sites.

You will have an increase in your link popularity. And the engines will reward you with a further increase of visibility in SERPs. Hence, you increase traffic to your blog.

This is also called “Link Bait“, that I believe is strictly connected to become an authoritative blogger, or having an authoritative website.

6. Use Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools

They are indispensable tools for analyzing the statistics of your site and to correct errors on your pages. You should always analyze your traffic and discover what are the most visited pages on your blog.

This will help you understand what will be the subjects you need to write about in your next blog posts.

Ileane Smith wrote a recent article about “Getting Started with Google Analytics“, specifically for bloggers. There are some written content, a slideshare presentation and some useful videos. You may learn a lot from this material, like setting up your first URL goal – thank you, check where your readers go after visiting your blog or where they come from when they arrive to your pages.

7. Publish Case Studies

People love case studies! I like reading interesting case histories.

Did you achieved an important goal? So you should explain and publish how you reach that, with as many details, practical examples and screenshots as you can.

I have written some time ago an article about “How My Alexa Rank Went from 100K to 29K in 2 Months” . This post received great social signals and has more than 100 comments.

You should definitely use case study posts on your website to increase traffic!

8. Create Lists of Resources

This is may be time consuming, but it pays off when you receive many visits and many compliments from creating this kind of useful articles.

You can write about “CommentLuv enabled blogs” or “The Most Rated Blogs where you can Guest Post”.

People will bookmark your page and will share it with their friends.

9. Create a Newsletter

A newsletter with quality content is effective to increase the traffic on your site.

Try to give some useful tips about something in your niche, like a great plugin, a fantastic new resource online, or some free guides written by your friends bloggers.

I use Aweber to manage my mailing list.

10. Leave Comments on blogs of Your Niche

This is one of the most effective tips to increase traffic to your blog : find the most authoritative blogs in your niche and leave meaningful comments there. Even better if they have CommentLuv enabled, the benefits are double.

Try to be the first one! Even if I know that this is not so easy.

Don’t be afraid to show your personality while commenting outside your blog. You do not have to always please the owner of the website. If you have something different to say, just write it!

You can be friendly and constructive at the same time while you write something that goes against the stream.

Guest blogging is the most effective way to build high quality and relevant links for a website. It has been proven effective and definitely helps many websites increase their organic and referral visitors.

But there are also other essential benefits that we can obtain from guest blogging, especially on those well-known blogs or websites and this is author trust or rank factor.

In SEO industry, Google always urge many SEOs to avoid spamming, unnatural and irrelevant linking, link manipulation etc. typically, tactics that violate search engine guidelines and purse content distribution and ethical link acquisition.

However, establishing author trust is quite difficult to establish especially if you will start from scratch, but this will surely help your website and your online presence gain a strong reputation from your target readers if done properly.

They key to success in establishing author trust through guest blogging is to focus within your niche and target those highly visited blogs/websites in your industry.

Slowly introduce your existence on their website by actively commenting on their recent posts.

Once you’ve got the attention of their community, contribute a highly informative content where new ideas and strategies that can be developed by your audience. Also, do not attempt to write something that was already posted on their blog to add up new information.

By building author-trust, you can benefit your website and your online presence in many ways and this includes the following points.

Earn clicks (CTR)

Linking relevant pages to add more detailed information to your content is one useful way to lead your guest post readers to your website.

This will help your website receive referral visitors and might as well become your regular readers.

Also, your guest post will surely appear in SERP in relevant search queries, so they key here is to ensure that the content you will produce is what people are sharing for.

This will help your post receive organic traffic which can eventually turn into referral traffic.

Earn Social Shares

Quality content deserves to be shared not only within your network but also to the world. If your readers find your guest post helpful and informative, they can also recommend it to their network community.

If your post becomes viral, you will definitely receive a hundred and even thousands of visitors from social media referrals.

Social signals are also one of the factors that Google is looking at when they are calculating content’s authority and they use these signals to determine how beneficial and useful a post is to its target readers.

Longer Reader-Author Engagement

Actively interacting with your readers is something that you should keep in practice.

Your readers will often drop their comment to share their opinion on your post and to keep your visitors returning to your post, respond to each of their comments and establish a conversation that should you and your readers will enjoy.

Also, one important thing remember is “you can’t earn author-trust if you don’t talk to your audience. So, the frequent you interact with your readers the stronger author-trust you will build.

Author-Trust

Author-trust factor is also the key to increase your CTR in SERP when people in your industry. Especially if you became popular through your informative content distribution on highly visited related websites within your industry.

This is also a safest way to acquire links for your website and at the same time, expand your own network to increase your connection.

However, being a trusted author means that you will only provide useful and informative content to your readers so you need to consistently produce a good one and never disappoint them with your content.

Erik offered a post in his blog and I truly appreciate this opportunity.

As I was planning for this post, I shared the title in Facebook to asked my friend’s views in it. Nishant said, “It little looks arrogant.

Some people will reply who cares “. Yes, not only the title but the post itself is little arrogant, but my intention is fair and hope you’ll enjoy it.

The ‘I’ in the post is any blogger who loves to reader other’s blog posts and ‘You’ in the post is any blogger who can’t meet the expectations.

I’ll Never Read Your Posts Again, You Know Why?

No offense, but your blog posts really sucks! I’ll never come back, never ever again!

Why do I always look for new posts and hop into them to share and comment? Being a blogger, can you stay away from recent ideas and happenings over the blogosphere? But I’ll not read your post again, you know why?

Everyday, there are a dozen blog posts in my reading list and I really love reading new content. I love building relationship with great bloggers, intermediates as well as newbies.

It’s really fun and hugely beneficial to interact with other bloggers. That’s the sole reason Bivori started commentDX group in Facebook and enjoy the ‘helping each other‘ kind of community feeling.

I truly love to read the posts that makes me little smarter than a few minutes ago and I like to share that post who might find it helpful.

However, there are a couple of blogs that’s just doing nothing for me. They simply suck my time and I’ll never visit them again. Make sure your blog is not in that list.

If you don’t want me to run away from your blog and help me to keep up with your content, you should know why I won’t read your posts again.

A Very Bad Beginning

You write about the same old topic that I’ve read a millions of times and you’ve not even presented your own view points? Oh! Common, why would I read that?

Do you plan your titles properly? Often I land to your blog through BlogEngage, Blokube, BizSugar or similar blogging networks and all I see there is the title and a little of first paragraph.

I may land to your blog from Facebook, Scoopit.it or Pinterest and so on. What can I see there? Your post title and a short snippet. Did you optimize them enough to welcome me to your post?

Is your first paragraph able to convince me that reading the post is worth my time? Does it tell what the post is about and ensures that I’ll get what I was looking for?

Sometimes, I’m interested to see an impressive and relevant image. Did you care to create or choose the best images for your post?

No More Textbooks Anymore!

Ahh! I’ve already studied in schools and collages, a huge pile of text books. I’ve also studied lecture notes and presentations.

I’m too much with them. Already!

Yes, you must provide information, you’ll teach me something through your post, but please, change your tone. Don’t remind me of those class room days.

Your correct grammar, sentence structure and thematic divisions can be awesome to get maximum marks in exam but dude, this is a blog post.

Be present in your post and let me feel you. Let me know about you and let’s have a conversation.

Failed by Wider Scope

I’ve seen some posts ‘How to Build successful blog’! OMG! As if it was ‘How to root your android phone’.

Any topic is related to many others and that does not mean you should write about everything. If you go wide apart, there will hardly be any depth.

I land on a blog post with my little time and a specific problem to solve. Writing a very wide post, you are testing my patience!

Regarding your blog also, if it includes every topic under the sun, you simply confuse me rather than helping in any respect.

When you really want to write everything about a subject, write an ebook, why blog post?

Pleasing to my eyes

Its not a paper book and will not increase number of pages, so, you are free to extend below the first fold. Make it comfortable to read and pleasing to my eyes.

Choose nice font, make it easy reading size, keep some space between lines, make shorter paragraphs and use sub headings where suitable.

I can read your posts only if you make me easier!

I’m Often on Smartphone

This is virtually impossible to read your post zooming and pinching. Why you’ve not yet made your blog mobile-ready?

Don’t you know we have some good plugins like WPTouch? Even better, you could use responsive theme that takes care of every screen sizes.

Bivori has an awesome responsive theme to offer – Isquar – which has page speed 92+% and Sandip offered it for FREE!

Believe me, you are losing many readers like me if your blog is not yet mobile-ready.

Trying to sell me some stuff

That’s nothing bad, but it’s enough.

What turns you off to read a new blog post?

Every webmaster knows how SEO is important in order to benefit from organic traffic, but they are also aware about how are countless the SEO notions to analyze and how there are numerous tools available on the market to check the various assessments.

With SEO PowerSuite you can perform a lot of particular tasks, with 4 different programs :

Rank Tracker

WebSite Auditor

SEO Spyglass

LinkAssistant

Let’s see some details and a further exploration for each software.

Rank Tracker

Rank Tracker is software designed to monitor the positions reached by a site on the search engines for lists of defined keywords.

You can schedule scans to run automatically so that, for example, every day or every week, or one-off at the appointed time.

The program stores a history of all recorded positions, in order to make subsequent analysis.

The use of these basic functions is intuitive and of very fast execution (including all the ones I tried, it is by far the faster rank checking software), but with Rank Tracker you can do much more.

The software can also derive search volumes of the set of keywords monitored (by extracting the data from the AdWords – with manual insertion of the Captcha, or by a substantial list of other sources), so as to put in direct relation to the individual positions with the relative volumes of searches.

Of course, you can use the program to extract data from research with industry (for example, using site:, allintitle: and allintext: to estimate the competitiveness of keywords), or simply to know the number of the results of any research, but in any case, the data (and historical) are saved and can be exported for further processing.

For protection against ban during inspections, it is nice can set the program to simulate human behavior putting questions to the SERP, or (or in addition) to import proxy lists for the controls, and even use the same proxy in rotation.

Here you see a screenshot of Rank Tracker for an example of keywords for NoPassiveIncome:

SEO Spyglass

SEO SpyGlass is a tool designed to make analysis of link popularity, which allows you to examine in detail the backlinks to any website.

Specifying a URL, the software retrieves information about its backlinks from various services, including Yahoo Site Explorer, Google Blog Search, and several other engines.

After the compiled list of backlinks, the software can check for each URL a number of factors relating to the link, the page and domination.

In addition to checking the presence, the target URL and the anchor text of the link, you can get (for example) the title of each page and the total number of links it contains, check the PR and IP address of each site, the cache data of Google, and many other parameters.

Other than leaving that SEO SpyGlass recoveries the list of backlinks of a website, you can manually import lists of URLs to check.

You can easily import interesting data from your Google WebmasterTools, but take note the software can also analyze arbitrary lists of URLs.

This way you can for example analyze at once and make lists of domains, or obtain tables with basic data of all pages of a site (titles, pagerank, number of inbound links and outbound links, data cache, and so on).

SEO SpyGlass also keeps track of the changes in the historical (thus giving the ability to control the variations in link popularity of competitors) and offers the possibility to export the data to be able to manipulate or analyze separately.

Here’s a detailed screenshot of NPI analysis with SEO SpyGlass (links hidden for privacy) :

The 2 Other Tools of SEO PowerSuite

For completeness, since they are part of SEO PowerSuite (the same family of Rank Tracker and SEO SpyGlass), I report the other two softwares that complement the collection:

- Website Auditor, which is software that evaluates the degree of on-page optimization;

- Link Assistant, a tool to manage link building campaigns, which mainly does 3 things:

maintains a database with all the information of the activated links and to be activated;

periodically checks the actual presence of links, pointing defections or changes;

it can directly contact each webmaster, with customizable email templates.

As for the other softwares included in SEO PowerSuite, the uses do not end here (the software can identify for themselves the potential link partners, for example), but for this time I leave the pleasure to the concerned users to further explore the many possibilities of Link Assistant.

Conclusion

Rank Tracker is undoubtedly the better rank checking software among all the ones I’ve tried so far (the list will include quite a few), and for me that is – alone – the price of the entire SEO PowerSuite. It is intuitive, reliable and extremely fast.

SEO SpyGlass is a real gem, it automates systematic analysis that I used to do with Yahoo Site Explorer, making them more accurate and much faster.

I’ve used a little, so far, Link Assistant, but I think I will be very helpful in the management of a link building campaigns.

Website Auditor allows you to check your own website details, but you can use it also to make a comparison with competition, which is good if you want to rank better.

Each software is constantly subjected to regular updates – an average of one every two weeks – for timely corrections whenever a search engine introduces a new change, or to improve the software with new features or new data sources.

The level of support and service is great: the staff is very helpful, responding quickly and always so helpful and courteous, seriously considering the suggestions for new features or enhancements to each software.

Personally I find these Suite very useful.

In summary, SEO PowerSuite is made up of 4 different tools that can be purchased together or separately. The entire suite is compatible with Mac and Linux.

I point out the differences between the Free, Pro and Enterprise version :

- with the free version you can use the main features of the software, but you are unable to save projects (you have to reset everything all the time);

- with the Pro version you can save the project (and hence the historian) and schedule the execution of the task at regular intervals;

- the Enterprise version allows you to export data in TXT, CSV, XML and SQL, and automatically send reports to customers.

Now it’s up to you, what is your view on SEO PowerSuite?

Have you ever tried it?

Please let me have your thought in the comments below, thanks!

Every blogger should take care about the way they write online. This is especially true for new bloggers, who have the duty to get started with the right foot.

Just think about the quality of communication you produce while you are writing. This post is dedicated to the newbies, but also to the veterans, who might want to check if there are still some points to improve.

Here are some of the most important things you should take care when writing online. Putting into practice the suggestions below will greatly increase the strength and effectiveness of your writing.

These steps will help you receive better results in terms of communication with your audience, but also in terms of better positioning of your content in the search engines.

1. Set Your Communication Goals

Do you perfectly understand needs and problems of the niche audience you are targeting?

Do you know which keywords are the most typed by Google users within your niche?

Answering to these two questions is of paramount importance. Because it will allow you to create quality content for your audience (knowing what are the needs of your readers will allow you to satisfy their demands).

And then because it will allow you to positionate more effectively in Google the content you have created for your users (if you know which are the most typed keywords, you can optimize your own post for these keywords).

2. Establish an Editorial Plan, and Stick to It

Which are the arguments you need to talk about in your blog?

How many posts are you going to write in a week?

When are you going to publish your articles?

Answering to these questions will allow you to create a real editorial plan. After you decided, you must stick with it.

Because it is very annoying for your audience to see you promised one thing, but you will show little willingness to maintain it.

3. Adopt a Personal Style

Your writing style should be as personal as possible. You must not copy other bloggers.

In other words, you need to create a trademark that distinguishes your communication, making your voice recognizable among others. Of course, it is easier said than done … But this principle is true and very important.

Any suggestions?

For example, avoid writing your post with sterile, flat, boring style. Be lively and original. Do not write too long sentences or paragraphs. Avoid any type of jargon, unless you are sure that your readers know it as well as you.

4. Write Keeping an Eye on SEO

Adopting the techniques of search engine optimization will help your post to achieve a better position in the Google SERPs.

Therefore, carefully choose the keywords for which you want to rank your content and respect the SEO rules that will allow you to get a good position in search engines. With this regard, you can take a look to this article :

10 SEO Tips to Optimize Your Content ( Learn SEO basic rules )

5. Put the Key Information at the Beginning

Open your post with the most important information. In other words you should use the journalistic method of the inverted pyramid.

In general, you should begin each paragraph of your content adding the key information. By doing so, your users will immediately find the news or the concepts they seek.

Remember that online readers do not like to waste time or dip into reasoning deductive logic that can be made mainly on the paper.

So give them what they want right away!

6. Write a Suitable Text to Be Read Online

You certainly know it. Reading on the monitor is slower and more difficult than on paper or books. This is because online users does not read word for word, but they scan the text with their eyes, in order to see if on that web page they can find relevant and quality content.

If your readers feel that your article is of value, they continue reading. Otherwise they leave right away.

It is therefore essential for bloggers to write content that comply with the rules of web writing. In principle, this means using bold type to highlight the most important words or concepts and avoiding the effect of a wall text, fragmenting the content into paragraphs spaced. In the same way, use H1, H2, H3, and so on, to list your content according to its importance.

Use internal linking. What does this means? You need to create links that lead to other content which deepen the arguments of the post.

7. Write in Proper Form

Your spelling, grammar and syntax must be perfect. A post which has errors or misprints in fact lose credibility in the eyes of the reader.

This may happen even if the content offered is of great interest and utility. For this reason it is always very important to proofread a post carefully before hitting the publication button.

You might want to check this useful post :

These are some of the main blogging tips that you should follow when you write new content online.

What do you think? Are you a new blogger? Or did you already have experience writing online?

One of the hardest things about Facebook is to increase the number of fans and likes, in a natural way and without breaking the rules.

Creating a page, promoting a company, a community, a product, a cause, or simply sharing your thoughts, images and links is a fun activity, but when you you realize how difficult is to increase your audience, it may become less entertaining.

Many of you are wondering how to reach numbers like 100.000 fans, when it seems already difficult to get just the sum of one hundred fans.

In this article I write about tips and guide to manage and increase the fans and like to a page, but I do not explain tricks that violate the rules and guidelines of Facebook.

Some pages have inserted such a welcome tab on their “like” buttons linking to other pages: in this way they require the user to have to click ”like” to show the contents of the tab. This practice goes against the rules of Facebook.

Facebook adopts different mechanisms to understand the origin of your fans : if they realize that few people have visited your page in comparison with users who clicked like, your page will be banned and your account warned.

Pages which have made tens of thousands of fans in a few days were readily blocked by Facebook … Do you want to be like them?

I do not think so!

Increasing the number of fans and like without any special tricks is possible, just follow these suggestions.

1. Suggest Your Page to Friends

The first thing to do after creating a new page is to share it and suggest it to your friends. It may seem an obvious tip, but I am sure many of you still have to invite all your connections to your Facebook page (like NPI Fan Page).

From the administration panel of the page (accessible to administrators clicking on the “Admin Panel” at the top right by visiting the page), click on the menu “Expand public” and choose “Invite your friends“.

This will allow you to select which friends to send a notification, asking them to become a fan of your page.

From that menu you can also share the page on your personal wall or on one of your friends. Of course be aware to not overdo, in order to not be labeled as spammer.

Also, before you want to advertise your page, make sure to have a solid fan base and content.

2. Create a Unique URL for Your Page

On both Facebook pages and profiles, you can get a unique username. This username identifies the page (or profile) of Facebook and offers a number of advantages.

For pages is very useful and important to get a customized URL, because it allows your fans to reach you remembering your URL and to communicate with the address of your page by any means (for example, for companies on a business card), but it is especially important because it attracts new users from Google.

Pages with a custom URL are best positioned on the search engines and thus attract new fans as well as common Google searches.

To choose your custom URL go here : http://www.facebook.com/username/

3. Publish Your Interesting Content

Whether your page is created as joke or as a company or as business page it is essential to always produce and publish interesting content, that will appeal to other people and worth to be shared.

Interesting content varies from page to page.

You will understand the taste of your fans over time, selecting which news to share and knowing what affects users and what not (TIP : use Facebook Page Insights Tool).

4. Interact With Your Fans

Another important issue is to establish a relationship with your users.

You should then enable the message function and allow your fans to write to you and post photos, videos and links on your Facebook page wall.

Always respond to questions, requests, and clean up your page wall by people who post SPAM links or simply you do not like.

This will not take much of your time and you will be able to start interacting with your real fans.

5. Organize Games, Contest and Creates Discussions

A great way to increase the visibility of your Facebook page and get more “like” is to organize games, contests and open discussions on your status updates.

In this way it is likely to get more people clicking on your content and receive new fans.

Even a simple status update as “Click like if you think Facebook is great” can generate a great response from your fans.

6. Use Many Media

Photos and videos are the kind of content that receive more feedback and more shares from users.

You know that the more your content is shared, the greater your exposure and potential fans reached.

So be sure to create different albums, but pay attention to add original images and videos, do not copy from other Facebook pages.

7. Like Box Social Plugin

Social Plugins are a great way to increase the visibility of your page. If you have a website, you should add a Facebook like box to help new users to find and click like on your page.

You can also add a box for comments, which allows new visitors to comment on (and to publish your comment on Facebook) using their profile, or a box with the most read stories.

Each of these tools can bring new users to your page.

8. Invite Your Customers

If you created a page to promote your company on Facebook (business page), you can send it to a number of email addresses (for example, your customers) by clicking on the menu “Expand the public” and “Invite contacts from email“.

Each email address that you entered will receive an email, inviting the receiver to become a fan or like your page on Facebook.

9. Contact Admins of Groups and Pages on Your Same Topic

Whether your Facebook page is created for fun or to support a cause, it is useful to contact other administrators of pages and groups like yours, to let them know about your page and to share with them some of your interesting content.

If your content is worth to be shared on other pages, this will increase your fan and like audience.

Contacting administrators pages is now much easier thanks to the messages. If this feature is disabled write on the wall or comment on a post, asking for a contact with the administrator of the page.

Of course : do not ask directly on the page about your desire to advertise, even worse publishing directly your link, as you may be reported as SPAM !

10 . Ride the Trend of the Moment

Many pages in no time get an exponential advantage of Facebook trends.

For example, the current trend is to publish animated GIFs, images that are shared much more than static images and bring more users to your page.

Tricks like animated images usually last not so much on Facebook (the time that they discover the deception and they will remedy), but managing to ride this trend, will rise considerably the number of your Fans.

11 . Write articles about “How to get More Facebook Likes”

As you probably know, the founder and previous owner of No Passive Income is Chris Madej. He managed to make this blog popular in just 8 months and he was able to write a great number of high quality posts which ranked in the first page of Google for different keywords.

See for example : How to Get Likes on Facebook – 500 and More FB Likes in 2 days!

So the suggestion here is to create articles about “How to Get More Facebook Like” or about “Reach More Facebook Fans”, make it rank number one for those keywords and you will get constant and daily facebook likes on your page!

On No Passive Income Facebook page I receive a daily number of likes and fans, that vary from few up to 10-20, which is not that bad, considering it is organic traffic and natural visitors!

Another tip is of course to add more than once in your article, a link to your Facebook page. Links poiting from images from my experience work better.

Conclusion

The advice on how to increase the number of fans and like may vary from page to page on Facebook.

In general, the most important “trick” (and on the web in general) is to produce interesting content.

If your page follows just what everyone else is doing, will end up soon or will not grow that much, so try to stand out from the crowd and focus on the steps described in this article.

Do your have more suggestions to add?

What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!

And of course like our page

If you run your own website or blog, then I’m sure that you will be interested to learn more about SEO. It is, after all, one of the best ways to drive traffic to a site.

Now if you search online, there is a lot of conflicting advice on the subject – some of it good and some of it bad.

The only tips that you should be following are the ethical SEO tips that actively help your site, without abusing the system.

SEO Has A Bad Name

For some people, SEO has a pretty poor reputation online. It can be seen as a way to somehow “cheat” the system or gain an unfair advantage over rivals.

This isn’t helped by the fact that there are some people (a small minority) that do try to abuse the system to further their own cause.

This has led to some to even suggest that search engine optimization be called something different.

It Can Actually Be Good, When Used Right

The simple fact is that SEO can actually be used ethically when done right. Search engine optimization is simply a way of getting your content to the most people possible.

Search engines are the number one method of driving traffic to a site, so it makes sense to make the most of them.

People have given a bad name to SEO by using negative techniques (or Black-Hat SEO) that abuse search engine rules, such as; keyword stuffing, invisible text, doorway pages, etc.

They do this to try to boost their rankings quickly, but the joke is on them as these methods only tend to work for the very short term, if at all!

Thankfully, Google and others are cracking down on websites that abuse these rules, which is great for the rest of us that pride ourselves for following the rules.

You have to remember that search engine optimization is a long term strategy for your site. There is no “quick” way or “short cut” to success, so you are better off optimizing your site for long term results.

So What Is Ethical SEO

Ethical search engine optimization is a term to describe all the good techniques and tips that you can use that are not in breach of search engine rules (or White-Hat SEO).

There is nothing wrong with optimizing your posts and pages to rank higher, as long as you do it right.

All search engines want to do is provide the best quality content to their users, as this is how they make money. To do this, they need to look at sites (by crawling them) and establish what a post/page is about.

Optimizing your pages helps search engines to identify what your content is about, therefore enabling them to show it to the right people who are searching for it.

Ethical SEO Tactics

So now we know that ethical SEO is the right way to go, how do you go about optimizing your posts?

One of the key aspects of SEO is keyword placement.

Placing keywords and keyphrases in certain places of your site helps search engines to identify what your post is about. This is called ‘on-page SEO’ and can refer to things like;

Page Titles

Meta Descriptions

Subtitles (H1, H2, H3 Tags)

URL Address

Image Alt Tags

Internal & External Link Anchor Text (and the links themselves)

Whilst these are all good places to include your keywords/keyphrases, it is VITALLY important that you don’t overdo it. Don’t place too many keywords in these places, as you risk keyword stuffing, which is bad!

A good rule of thumb is that keywords should not exceed about 3% of your overall article. Think of your keywords as simple sign posts that help tell people what your post is about.

That way, you don’t need to go overboard with using them.

A great WordPress plugin that you can use to help you monitor your keyword density and other on-page SEO is the ‘WordPress SEO by Yoast’ plugin.

Now SEO is not all about keyword placement. Search engines also look at things like post frequency, social media interaction, and PageRank.

But for the purpose of this post, this is what I will be focusing on.

It’s All About Being Relevant

Another good ethical rule to remember is that things should always be relevant to your content. Whatever keywords, keyphrases, internal links, external links, videos, images, etc. that you include in your posts, they should be relevant to what you have just written.

For example, if I were to write an article about a certain actor, let’s say Matt Damon, then linking to reviews of movies that he has been in would be totally relevant, therefore justifiable.

If on the other hand I started including links to some car selling site, that wouldn’t be very relevant.

Search engines look at the terms, phrases and links that you use in a post to see if they are all connected in some way.

If they aren’t (as in the example that we just looked as) then they may suspect some dodgy behaviour going on on your site.

If you think about it logically though, you only want to be providing the best quality content to your visitors anyway, so why would you use/link to unrelated things.

Summary

Ethical search engine optimization isn’t too hard to get your head around. Just remember to follow search engine guidelines and not abuse the system.

It can actually be more beneficial to concentrate solely on writing for your readers, as ultimately it is them that will determine whether your site is a success or not.

Plan out a long-term SEO strategy for your site and work at optimizing your site ethically. It is much better to work with Google rather than against them!

What other ethical SEO tips do you use that I haven’t mentioned here? Do you even do SEO on your site and if not, why?

Do you have a positive or negative view of SEO? Please let us know your views by leaving a comment below!

Every business, no matter how well it is doing from a revenue standpoint, and no matter how many people are fans of it, has a collection of people who are not really fans of the business.

Whether they are jilted customers, competitors, or people who are simply looking to cause a little bit of trouble in their free time, these individuals can cause trouble for your brand.

This post will share why and how you can leverage your Facebook page to address negative feedback and commentary, and ease the potential blow to your business of negative feedback in general.

Publicly Address the Issues of Many in One Fell Swoop

It’s a good idea to publicly address issues your customers face.

Aside from fringe cases, typically if one person is having an issue with your product or service, others might, too—this is an opportunity to address the potential issues of many in one fell swoop.

Additionally, customers will appreciate the speed with which you respond to negative feedback and prioritize resolution, and they will respect your honesty in front of the masses.

Have Your Fans and Positive Customers Help You

If a customer is saying they don’t like your product for some reason, enlist the customers who do like your product to post positive feedback to your site that nicely (and ideally truthfully) contradicts the issue.

Your fans will be supportive when you ask them to, and will appreciate that they can aid a company they like in sharing their own positive experience with your product or service.

Get More “Likes” on Facebook—It Will Serve You Well

As stated in this article, asking your website audience to “like” you is a great way to get more Facebook “likes.”

Chances are good that if they like you enough to visit your website, not only will their support show by increasing your Facebook fan number (which looks good to doubters), but they might also support you with positive feedback that counteracts the impact of negative feedback.

Another great suggestion for getting “likes” is to advertise on Facebook. It’s relatively inexpensive, and a great and quick way to garner new fans.

Offer Free Product to Frustrated Customers

Offer to send your frustrated customer a new and updated version of the product to show your appreciation for their patronage—this will go a long way with both your customer and other Facebook fans, as well as other potential customers who see your page but are not yet fans.

All will see that customer service is of the utmost importance to you, even in times of customer frustration.

Be Nice

Being nice can take you a long way with your customers.

Everyone makes mistakes, and customers will be far more likely to respond positively to you, even in a negative situation, if you handle it nicely and with positivity.

Respond in a Timely Manner

For those who use your Facebook page as a customer service path, ensure that you are timely in your responses.

These customers will appreciate that, and may return the favor by encouraging a future frustrated customer back on track if a negative post appears on your Facebook page down the road.

In general, every business should have a Facebook page. Fans like to follow a business’s successes and support you when they can.

Those who “like” you feel a part of something when they get to share in the daily goings-on of your business.

Nurture this audience and pay attention to their feedback—respond in a timely manner to them, and some of them will likely return the favor by aiding you when other customers post negative feedback.

Blogging is such an awesome tool which can give you time and money freedom both. Blogging can take you to much higher level in your life if you are committed to do so.

This is the biggest reason that many people are choosing blogging a full time career. People are exploring many untouched niche so that they can make huge income with blogging.

But do all people get success in blogging?

No!!

Because many of them start it with passion and soon they quit after seeing the market competition. Because once you enter in blogging then only thing you know is traffic.

At that time you just have single idea that people will come at your blog, they will click on your ads and you will make money.

But when you enter in blogging then you realize that there is one crappy term called SEO too. SEO need too much time and soon you start losing your interest in blogging.

So Here I am going to share some tips for you so that you can dominate blogging easily.

1 . Decide Your Audience

This is very first and crucial step towards blogging. If you don’t know who are the people which are going to become your audience then you will be lost in a big ocean.

You must have clear idea that which category of people you are going to touch. Ask following questions from you before starting a blog.

Will my audience be teenagers?

Will my audience be males?

Will my audience be females?

Will my audience be old agers?

Am I going to touch newbie?

Am I going to touch experts?

Am I going to touch webmasters?

And there will be many such questions once you will start brainstorming.

My reason for explain this is so that you can promote your blog among those category of people only.

You cannot promote female products to men and you cannot promote children products to old age people. So sit relax and decide your audience first.

2 . Don’t Write What You Don’t Know

Writing the thing which you don’t know will be like sending your readers to the hell. Rather than making their life good your one wrong tip can make their life worse too.

I have seen people write about some tech tips which they never tried those tips themselves.

A single wrong step can lead to damage of the reader’s device.

So be very cautious while writing the things.

3 . Follow Great People in your Niche

This is one of the steps I love to do most.

I follow people who have already achieved success in blogging and people call them blogging GURU.

Such people have gone through the stage in which you are today and they know where the pitfalls are.

Such people can show you right direction and you can have more probability of success.

4. Read Entrepreneurial/Inspirational Stories

Reading inspirational stories will give you morale boost and you will be more dedicated for your work.

If you don’t have habit to read inspirational stories then start reading them today.

Entrepreneurial stories can teach you how those people succeeded and which were the methods they used to reach here.

5. Widen your Circle

You should keep widening your circle and interacting with people of your niche.

Here are some steps which you can do.

Interact with people in different forums.

Follow people on twitter.

Be friend with people on Facebook.

Choose some great blogs and keep commenting on them.

Reply each and every comment on your blog.

Do guest posting on blogs.

Final Words!!

Finally I would like to say that it is not that hard to dominate blogging but all you need is your efforts and time.

Start implementing the things I mentioned in the article and analyze improvement in your work after 2-3 months.

All the very best!!

Keep Rocking Keep Blogging.
